The two most common pest moths found throughout Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland are pantry moths, which infest stored food products, and clothes moths, which feed on natural fibres such as wool, silk, fur, and other textiles.

Pantry moths are commonly found in kitchens, grocery stores, restaurants, warehouses, and food processing facilities. They can contaminate dry goods such as flour, cereal, rice, pasta, nuts, bird seed, and pet food, often requiring affected products to be discarded. Clothes moths, on the other hand, can cause costly damage to clothing, carpets, upholstery, and stored fabrics if left untreated.
