Although termite infestations are less common in Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland than in many other regions, they can still cause significant structural damage if left untreated. Because termites feed on wood and other cellulose-based materials, they can quietly weaken the structural integrity of a home or building long before the damage becomes visible.

Since termites typically remain hidden inside walls, foundations, or wooden structures, infestations often go unnoticed until they are well established. Early warning signs may include discarded wings near windows or doors, mud tubes along foundation walls, hollow-sounding wood, bubbling or damaged paint, or doors and windows that suddenly become difficult to open.
